About Us

Sunshine Coast Karate is owned and operated by husband and wife team Martin & Sandra Phillips. Martin & Sandra are internationally qualified instructors in Chito-Ryu Karate-do, who have 24 and 18 years experience respectively. We have been established on the Sunshine Coast for 8 years teaching Chito-Ryu Karate-do, which has well over 30 years history in Australia. We are based in Maroochdyore, which located on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia, about 90 minuted drive north of Brisbane.

Our growing team of instructors and support staff are passionate about providing the best possible service to the local community and sharing the many benefits of Chito-Ryu Karate-do.

We offer classes for people of all ages 5yrs - adults in Maroochydore's only permanent, fully equipped karate dojo. We also offer short courses and education for self defence, school sport, vacation care, hoiday programs for kids, workshops and more. Through our affiliation with the International Chito-Ryu Karate-do Federation and it's Australian branch, we offer access to tournaments, training camps, and highly skilled guest instructors.
